While honey contains all the sugars that bees need, pollen provides them with a high source of proteins, vitamins, minerals and animo acids for nourishment. The pollen is then distributed to different parts of the hive & stored in honeycomb; an experienced beekeeper can sometimes tell which flowers the bees have been visiting. Bees collect pollen in pollen sacks attached to their back legs and sitting by the hiveon a nice day you can see there colourful pollen filled sacks as the bees fly back to the hive. Bee pollen is gret sprinckled on cereals, mixed in yoghurt or added to smoothies. We recommend 2 teapoons daily. Suitable for vegetarians.
