We've only used real bananas and a small amount of organic lucuma fruit, for a super healthy banana blend that doesn't have a strong taste of banana, as when you're using real banana in a protein shake the taste of banana is actually quite subtle and not like the artificial banana flavour used in most commercial banana milkshakes. There are pleasant malt and caramel notes too, thanks to the lucuma, and indeed banana does also take on a slightly malty flavour when dried. We've crammed the equivalent of one medium banana into each serving, so you're getting 15.88% of your recommended daily intake of Potassium and a healthy amount of unprocessed carbohydrates too. With a nearly 50:50 protein to carb ratio, this is perfect if you're looking to increase your carbs alongside your protein intake.
